


Henrik's top 10 finds - Lecture
Museum inspector, Henrik Madsen from the Fossil and Moler Museum talks about his top 10 finds of fossils. Several of them have already been declared Danekræ. Most of the finds on his top 10 list have been found in the local piers, which are approximately 55 million years old.
These are selected fish, insects, plants, birds, turtles, as well as volcanic ash layer. A Single Findings
is from a quarry in Scotland, and is an extinct armored fish that is approximately 391 million years old.
There is also a sea urchin, approximately 63 million years old, found on the beach at Nordmors which is quite unique.

About Museum Mors
Museum Mors is a state-recognized cultural history and geological museum with geographical responsibility for Morsø Municipality. The museum was founded in 1901 and moved in 1909 to Dueholm Kloster, where it still has its main address and administration. The old market town museum was expanded from the 1980s with several departments. In 2023, the museum consists of Dueholm Monastery, Morsø Local History Archive, Fossil and Moler Museum and Foundry Museum.
