World-class fossils
The Fossil and Moler Museum displays an impressive collection of fossils and tells the story of the formation of the pier more than 55 million years ago at the bottom of a vast ocean. In the collection you will find lots of fun petrifications of fish, birds, insects and tree trunks. Lose yourself in the rest of the many beautiful fossils of all kinds, including the world's largest fossilized Ikait crystal, which is almost one meter long.
The museum shop sells fossils, minerals, books as well as ice cream, soft drinks and coffee, and not least jewellery made from processed fossils.
It is also possible to go hunting for fossils yourself in the pier graves around the museum, and museum staff are happy to advise on this in the museum shop.
